They are very single-minded in their attempt to attack. Very determined attempts to soothe the dogs may eventually get a moment's quiet and a single, pitiful whimper as if something inside the dog has a very distant memory of gentleness, but then the moment passes and it resumes trying to bite your face off.

If restrained, caged, leashed, they will stay where they are put for the entirety of fog and nightmare worlds, so you're welcome to try to round them up. They'll be much harder to restrain in the nightmare world: they will snap leather or cloth leashes, only metal will be an effective restraint. It's impossible to get them all, but you can certainly lower the amount of dogs in the streets.

On September 1st (if relevant), the dogs will all disappear in the reset.
