Just Indiana, ( Steve says, bemused. to be fair to Gideon, he's bemused a lot of the time. still, he's just... pretty sure they're on waaaaaay different wavelengths. he suddenly wishes Robin were around, because while the two combined might be a lot of talking and babbling and rambling that he couldn't keep up with, which would be annoying, Robin would probably be better able to understand what is going on here. this isn't Steve's thing, being the astute one that picks up on things quickly. he's not the guy that figures out why something is just a little funny in a way that isn't immediately obvious. so he's at a loss here, especially considering Gideon doesn't seem to be thinking about the same. )

So armor, right? I don't know if there's any around here. Seems like just a normal tourist trap. ( he was lucky to steal this nice shirt. it has RHODOS on it, and a bunch of other words that Steve can't read. another reason to wish Robin was around. even though his platonic wife only speaks 5 languages, Steve just assumes any language he comes across that he doesn't understand will be in Robin's wheelhouse, somehow. )

How long have you been wandering around? Been a few hours, for me. You're the first person I've found in ages, for awhile I thought it was just me. ( and Gideon might be a bit of a weirdo, and she talks about things Steve does not really understand. but she's still a person, which is great, when you've been lost in a sunsoaked ghost town. )
