A lure... I've considered that, as well, though I can't pinpoint the reasoning behind it at all.

( She glances at his hand, and then back to her own journal. After a moment's hesitation, she opens it to the relevant page and hands it over. )

This and the next page only, please.

( There are other things written in there that she'd rather not share. But he seems like a nice man, and so she trusts him with it.

On the pages she's indicated, her notes are penned in neat, formal-looking handwriting. The occasional doodle of fish, seashells and other ocean creatures line the edges. It's not often that she gets the time to idly do such things, but it seems she was able to in the breaks between her observations.

She has notations in bullet points, though the bullet points are little pearls. (Circles, really.) They include the following, as well as many other diligent notes:

  • Two rulers - a King and a Queen, or something like it
  • King always dies
  • Many Kings? The same King being reincarnated? Could it be like Orobashi?
  • Betrayal, but by who? Queen, it seems?
  • One King. Three Kings. One King. One King. Five Kings. Two Kings.
  • ^^^ Impossible to differentiate in the end
  • The war seems to change
  • Interdiction seems to be a plot point? But this wasn't shown last time
  • The direction of attack was altered, I think
  • Queen meets Priestess of some kind? Was that included in the last showing?

The notes involving the deaths of the King seem particularly confused. There are scribbles marking out some ideas she'd had and then thought were impossible, though reading through those lines to see her message makes it clear that they are possible, and just as contradictory as expected.

Kokomi patiently waits, her hands clasped together in front of her. )
