Perhaps... [But she's seen a number of things that looked like they should have been dead and yet, were still alive. She's also seen a number of things that were dead and looked more alive than this, she supposes, if the dogs haunting the Huntsmen in the Nightmare were any indication. It could be that, too.]
In my experience, just because they are dead does not mean they cannot still feel hunger, or a drive like it. They are beasts. Either way, I think their appearance has something to do with this fog, or smoke, or whatever it is. But if you are right, then they're being controlled by something greater than themselves...
[She stretches to her full height, letting the sword rest at her side, but ready to bear should she see anything. But even from the lofty vantage point, she can't see anything around; not at the moment, but she does recall things from earlier. She frowns, thoughtfully.]
There are shadows stalking through the fog, as well, have you seen them? Not dogs, nor people, but something else I didn't care to approach.
